If you are interested in donating your personal property to Memorial, please use this page as a guide for your donation.
Over the years, many individuals have donated their valued possessions to Memorial. These gifts can be among the most meaningful and important for our patients and staff.
Memorial Children's Hospital is constantly in need of gifts of personal property, everything from crayons to televisions. For a list of items that we are currently looking for, please see our Child Life Wish List.
In Kind Gift Acceptance Policy
In Kind Gifts to Memorial Children's Hospital:
Due to our infection control standards, all stuffed animals or toys MUST be brand new and in the original packaging. These items will be given directly to a child for special holiday gifts or the occasional birthday or milestone that is celebrated with us.
In Kind Gift Valuation Policy
Gifts of personal property to Memorial Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, are fully tax deductible in the year they are given. To determine the amount of the deduction, you must determine the "Fair Market Value" (FMV) of the donated items. Often, this is different than the original price paid for the items due to fluctuating markets. For more information on how to determine the FMV of personal property, please see the IRS Guide on Determining the Value of Donated Property.
Gifts of tangible personal property are subject to various legal regulations. For more information about our acceptance policy and how to make an in-kind gift, please contact Dan Parker at 574-647-2687 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
